It is important for students to learn and understand that everyone experiences a range of emotions, and that feelings come and go. Recognizing and understanding feelings without judgment, either our own, or someone else’s, enhances self-awareness, empathy, and promotes the development of healthy relationships. In addition, these everyday practices draw attention to the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and actions.
