Rationale

Problem-solving is the ability to identify, analyze and find solutions for obstacles we face. It involves overcoming challenges by generating theories, testing these theories, and arriving at solutions. Problem-solving is an important part of curriculum as it helps students to take responsibility for their own learning, deal with conflict, explore options, and develop action plans. These skills serve students well in the learning process and continue to develop over their lifetime (Centre on the Developing Child, 2017).
