Back-to-School Featured Resource Educator Info-Sheet on Helping Students to Manage Anxiety informationEducators know that students will face anxiety at times. Usually, these feelings are helpful for students. However, when feelings of fear and worry last for a long time, are exaggerated, or occur without a real threat, anxiety can be a problem. Educators have an important role in helping students maintain a healthy level of anxiety.

This Anxiety at School Info-Sheet is based on information contained in Supporting Minds:  An Educator’s Guide to Promoting Students’ Mental Health and Well-being, created by the Ontario Ministry of Education.  We are hopeful that the information summarized here will provide helpful guidance for educators in:

  • Creating Supportive Classroom Environments
  • Noticing Signs of Anxiety Problems
  • Supporting Students with Signs of Anxiety Problems
